Yaroslav was a QuICS Postdoctoral Scholar from 2019 to 2022. He graduated with a PhD degree in Theoretical Condensed Matter from University of New South Wales, Australia. His research focus was on quantum critical phenomena in strongly correlated systems, quantum magnetism, high-temperature superconductivity and topological excitations in magnetic materials. He was also working as a visitor researcher at Los Alamos National Lab on developing error correction methods for D-Wave quantum annealer and as a visitor researcher in Quantum Machine Learning at Russian Quantum Center. Yaroslav is employed as a Senior Applied Scientist at AWS.
