Bio
Rex Lundgren was a postdoctoral researcher in the Gorshkov group from 2020 to 2021. He is a theoretical physicist whose research interests lie at the interface of quantum information science, condensed matter physics, and atomic, molecular, and optical physics. Currently, he is working on quantum adiabatic optimization algorithms, applications of machine learning to many-body quantum physics, and Fluxonium gates. Rex received his doctorate in physics from the University of Texas at Austin. Rex left the University of Maryland in January 2021 for a new position as an Engineering and Physics Sciences Researcher at the NSA Laboratory for Physical Sciences.
