Bio
Neil Julien Ross was a QuICS Hartree Postdoctoral Fellow in quantum information and computer science. In his research, Ross investigated the algebraic structures that arise in quantum computation. Recently, he had been particularly interested in the study of quantum circuits and quantum programming languages. Ross has co-authored several academic articles, including "Programming the Quantum Future," "Optimal Ancilla-free Clifford+T Approximations of z-Rotations," and "Quipper: A Scalable Quantum Programming Language." Ross received his doctoral degree in mathematics from Dalhousie University in 2015. After QuICS, he continued on as an Assistant Professor in Math at Dalhousie.
