Bio

Mohammad Hafezi is a Minta Martin Professor with joint appointment with the Department of Physics and Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is a fellow of Joint Quantum Institute, Quantum Technology Center and the Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics. He is also the Associate Director for Education of the NSF Quantum Leap Challenge Institute for Robust Quantum Simulation. His research interest is at the interface of quantum optics, condensed matter physics, quantum information sciences, and more recently, machine learning. He received his doctorate in physics from Harvard University in 2009.
