Bio

Lucas Brady is a theoretical physicist in quantum information science.  He was an NRC Postdoctoral Fellow from 2018 to 2022.  His research has focused on quantum algorithms, specifically Quantum Adiabatic Optimization.  He has worked tunneling in the context of adiabatic computing and diabatic transitions.  He has also worked on simulating quantum adiabatic evolution with path-integral Monte-Carlo.  He is currently interested in studying adiabatic algorithms and other Hamiltonian algorithms in the context of achieving useful quantum computational advantage.  Lucas received his doctorate in physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  Lucas is employed with NASA's QuAIL group.
